About Cheer for the Kids

In 2006, a group of Memphians pioneered a fund-raising event to benefit local non-profit organizations. Evoking the help of faculty, staff and students of Arlington High School and others involved in the cheerleading and dance  community, they led the charge in raising awareness and money for local child-focused philanthropy organizations. Their hard work culminated with an exciting day of competition and fun for hundreds of participants and resulting in a first year total of over $3,000!!

Committed youth and young people across the Mid-South are quickly making Cheer for the Kids the premier philanthropic event for dancers and cheerleaders.

All involved are proud to be a part of Cheer for the Kids, and for raising more than $15,000 for local organizations. This year, more than 350 students and 350 spectators are expected to participate in and our goal is to raise $20,000 to donate to worthy causes that benefit children.

Cheer for the Kids can only continue to flourish with the help of volunteers, sponsors, an cheer teams.  Please consider becoming involved with our organization!
